A diversion, by it's own definition, accomplishes quite a bit. SO, anything that is a diversion has already accomplished something whether an intentional diversion or not. The actual use of CursorFX is not a diversion. If you want to customize your cursor, the act of selecting a new theme would not be a diversion, unless you were doing so to avoid something else, in which case, the act as a diversion in itself, would be an accomplishment. Other wise, the act of selecting a new theme would be 'customization', which around here is a past time.
You inadvertantly found the point of this. Most people would label a diversion as a bad thing. That's why I said it was useless, but at the same time, good.
This mainly falls under category 4. It's a distraction mostly from things that need to be done. Instead of doing something to help windows, your simply making it pretty, which, if you've seen a really sexy lady, is a diversion in itself
The thing is, say you were at a business. Instead of getting ready a report, your changing a style on your mouse cursor.
How is it not a diversion? People used to work on Dos, and IMO, alot got more done due to not having the diversion of prettyness.
Once your used to pretty things, it's much less of a diversion. But anytime something pretty gets added, to a human who likes pretty things, it becomes a diversion to what needs to be done.
And that's mainly what I call Cursor FX. It's a sexy lady that makes you think with your penis and forget what you came to do.
Figuretivly, at least. No one gets turned on by Cursor FX. I hope?
The thing is though, really anything that doesn't accomplish anything is a diversion. Cursor FX is a good, fun way to kill time, esp. considering the ancient windows mouse cursor.
Please keep in mind, I never called this a bad program. A diversion doesn't mean bad. It just means it's a way to kill time, and I wouldn't use it unless your a: used to it, and b: doing it in your free time.
It's honestly the same way I feel about people who goof around at work and play games, which includes hiding games on the pc, bringing cell phone games/psp/ds, etc.
