And branding sux. Usually if I get a skin that's branded in some way I edit it out...I prefer a clean looking skin myself. And I know where it came from...so no branding needed.
From a marketing standpoint (of hyperdesk and TSF, not the skin) branding is a good thing. And if the user wants to edit it out . . great; I do it too. If i were selling a product though, I'd want the user and anyone the user is show the product off to to see my brand name, not my competitors.
As an aside . . it's not a week tha goes by that someone is confused by unzipping something in these forums. An installer can be much easier for Mr. and Mrs. AOL.
