Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Everytime I try to open the per pixel frames in the preview window of Skinstudio, I get the alert seen above or below. If I try to do anything with the per pixel frames, the warning pops. I can't save, the warning pops up. I think it may be related to the normal window frames and buttons but not sure at all.
This is the second skin where it has happened. The last time I fell back to a previous version and was able to continue on from there no problem. I did lose a bunch of work though.
Before I fall back to an earlier version of the skin, I was hoping one of you gurus might have an idea on what the problem might be. I am going to lose alot of work if I fall back to an earlier version.

The reason I think it may be related to the buttons is, I deleted some of the redundant buttons. Shortly after the problem happened.
After the message pops up...if I try to go to a different area of the skin, I get another alert about SKS not being able to paint the preview correctly and everything kind of crashes from there.

I can get a shot of that message but there isn't much more info than I already said.

Using SKS version 4.99(b) 002...The last time this happened I uninstalled SKS and went back to an earlier version and there was no change.

Any clue on where to look? The button count(various messages make me think this is important) is correct..I think.

Thanks in advance.

bump...
I tried deleting the system icon sections and they didn't go away (only in the normal window frames did it go away). Then I set their alignment to -999 and -999 (which I have done in the past succesfully). I have tried to correct it because I think that might be part of the problem but I still get the error message. I can work on the skin just fine as long as I stay away from the per pixel frames.

I wonder if I could get the skin to test it? Is this a problem with any other skin with alpha blended frames as well? If that's the only skin it's happening with , please send it to adam AT stardock. DOT com.
