Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Hey, for those of you that need a screen capture utility....use the Capture docklett for Object Dock available right here at WC!! There are actually 2 that I know of and they both work great! You have options for capturing the cursor, and time delay, and capture to thumb or clipboard, and from either screen or window to png, jpg, bmp, or tiff! And it get's everything...one little tip for capturing your mouse, use the default delay and keep your mouse moving while you are waiting for the docklett to snap the picture...otherwise your mouse will show both the CursorXP theme your using and the default cursor right on top of eachother...Plus, you don't have to count and guess when the images is taken, because the mouse will stall for just a second when the image is snapped...

Ok, so here's a couple of my favs...I've got so many!!

There's a couple more here...

And if all else fails, and you're interested feel free to look here...I've got docks of every size, shape and color...I love docks!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...for making Object Dock Plus...except for the bugs...and there are a few...I LOVE it...

Is there a way to post images that are not URLs, but jpgs saved on my comp?
If not then I am currently using my pipistralus subflavus dock background. Link

I've got 2 systray icons for OD showing. One for OD the application, and one for the actual dock. Is this normal?

Top Dock: (same, just different colors)

Left side dock (for folders)

Right side with a few programs I use a lot and my docklets:

CorkyO, the image you link to has to be on the internet somewhere. It can't be a locally stored file.

Thanks, werewolf.

Won't make that mistake again.

This is my desktop as it looks at the moment. The three red docks are autohide: applications on the left, folders and discs on the right and games on top.

I designed my desktop to be able to access everything I need in 1 single click, while keeping it as minimalistic as possible. I really like the combination of the three primary colours that comes back in both the wallpaper and the docks. Comments anyone?

I like it Grubby. I have used multiple docks before to hid the taskbar completely. It can really work well if you are using OD+. Pretty cool setup you have there.

Here is my most recent set-up:

Tabbed dock in top right corner of screen:

Zoomer dock on bottom middle of screen:

I simply love OD+. Funny too, because I really never found any use for OD.

Here's mine. Very simple, but it gets the job done.

Heres my current setup, im not a fan of the tabbed docks so i just use the baldy ones...

I have completely replaced the standard Windows system tray with an OD which also includes Network In & Out gauges by Malcom666 ( http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=2608&LibID=29 ) for Judges SysStats ( http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=4271&LibID=29 ). Weather widget is at http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=284&LibID=34

I have also replaced the Start Button with a Docklet by AndreasV ( http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=2373&LibID=29 ) and it can be seen in all its glory below:

At the top of my screen i have my most commonly used programs in a basic dock. The Macromedia, Microsoft & Adobe icons contain flyout menus which can be seen below:

Finally, on the left hand side of my screen i have a small basic dock with a couple of docklets on it that i frequently use, namely:
MSN Messenger Docklet by Troy Ockert ( i think its the one thats packaged with OD+ )
Email Checker Docklet by AndreasV ( http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=2170&LibID=29 )
Recycle Bin Docklet again by the wicked AndreasV ( http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=3663&LibID=29 )
These are in the screenshot below:

And thats yer lot! I didnt actually realise until now that i had used so much work by AndreasV, so thanks Mr. V, youve helped make my desktop a nicer place to be! Credit for most of the dock icon graphics goes to Farid Nafar ( http://www.wincustomize.com/info.aspx?ACID=512448 ) and Jairo Boudewyn ( http://www.wincustomize.com/info.aspx?ACID=149320 ), i love their style. There is some graphics from other authors also but i cant remember who they are so apologies to them, im sure they will know who they are if the read this post and see the images. Thanks to you guys also...

Damn that was a complex post with all the links and references! I hope it works...

Comments very welcome, all the best,

Ronan H

OH also i have a dock at the bottom of my screen which just displays whatever programs are running, thus replacing the taskbar! A full screenshot of everything in action is viewable at http://homepage.eircom.net/~rhnet/WinCustomize/RonanH.jpg

Tabbed dock that normally hides at the top edge (Icons shown are Novacons, part of the Novablinds Suite, find them on DeviantArt, or here too most likely!, background is dogma-x tabs 2):

Utility dock that sits at the bottom of screen, showing Our Computer/Recycle Bin/Start Menu/Weather and Current Tasks (Icons shown are Utopia Black, buy it here!, and a Windows Explorer by someone I can't remember, but you can find it here too!, background is my own):

Not a taskbar anywhere in site! Thanks OD!
