We "had" this beautiful front yard, no grass, stones, and a rock river, with all kinds of cactus, flowering sage, a huge agave, et. We have lost the agave, the little b..guy ate up all the inside, I sure hope he had a hangover!

Now he is working on our australian bottle tree, a beautiful tree it was, now it is very stressed

Have tried trapping, putting bubblegum down the holes, even poured a bottle of ammonia and then bleach, thought I got him, but he popped up after a few days. Sounds cruel, I don't like killing anything, but he is destroying all the plants >

My neighbor said that he and a friend of his, when living in Montana, tried to get rid of a gopher by putting propane down the hole and lighting a match

"Caddy Shack" I guess was more true to life then I realized
Anyway, this is a serious question, if any of you have any ideas, or have had the problem yourselves and know the answer
