Well Basj
It has happened before and again last night. I was posting a reply and the system shut down, cut me off, obviously something went south. Post lost. Wanted to thank you for considering my terms which compared to the stuff I see my grand kids using on TikTok, WeChat, X, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram mild, but might offend a few. Sometimes my frustration gets the best of me because I dislike so much being a "beta" tester without pay for some of these software companies. Especially Microsoft, who still pushes down updates even when you ask them not to. Yes it's true we don't own 70% of the software we have, just a license to use, so I guess these companies can do whatever they please.
At this point I don't know what caused Aero11's Style icon to be removed from the WindowBlinds Style setup page. I took the time to search, finally found and then reinstall Aero11 from within WindowBlinds. The first thing I tried was the "rebuild command", which didn't work. The Aero11 folder with 1,510 items and the Areo11 rev10 folder with 3 items where still in their original folders. Some "pointer" in the WindowBlinds program was damaged, or deleted, so the program couldn't find the "executable". I've taken to "write protecting" stuff on my system I don't want changed without my knowledge. When a program cries uncle I can see if I want it to have it's way. I finally got Windows10 to my Gold Standard, since I upgraded from Windows7 in February. I don't care what any body says, I won't be upgrading to Windows11 anytime soon. I may invest in Windows 10 extended support, Extended Security Updates (ESU). I stayed with Windows7 for 16 years, ya think I'm going to jump to Windows11, haven't seen a good enough reason yet! The main reason is all the really fancy stuff you want to do on your computer is not done through the OS. That's why there are sites like GitHub!
I only noticed because I wanted to change a setting and found I had no access to the theme. Maybe SimplexDesigns can let me know the single file that needs protecting, or I'll find out the hard way, by "right protecting" all the files in the folder until an update comes along.
Thanks again.
