I got this: SDC, Win 7 HP
All appears fine after reboot, though.
Windows 7 Home Premium (7601.win7sp1_gdr.140303-2144)WindowBlinds 8.06 (029 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS Wblind.dll 2014/07/16 13:42:ll Wblind64.dll 2014/07/16 13:42:49 Wbsrv.dll 2014/07/16 13:42:48 WB8Config.exe 2014/07/22 14:16:28 Wbload.dll 2014/07/16 13:42:43 Screen.exe 2014/07/16 13:42:29
I just did the upgrade on Windows 7 Jim, no problems. Trying Windows 8.1 next.
I used to get that on SDC too Snowie, I was told told switch to Object Desktop Manager as SDC was no longer supported.
ODM, Win 8.1 Pro installed just fine. No errors/problems.
Windows 8.1 Pro (9600.winblue_gdr.140330-1035)WindowBlinds 8.06 (029 - Windows 8 Edition) - 64 bit OS Wblind.dll 2014/07/16 13:42:ll Wblind64.dll 2014/07/16 13:42:49 Wbsrv.dll 2014/07/16 13:42:48 WB8Config.exe 2014/07/22 14:16:28 Wbload.dll 2014/07/16 13:42:43 Screen.exe 2014/07/16 13:42:29
On 7 64 bit, with ODM, I got the error, but no notice to reboot.
Downloaded from the store, my account, no problems.
ODM is buggier than a roach motel...lol.
Installed latest WB on Windows 8.1, in ODM it shows version 8.06 installed, yet when I do an About Windowblinds in the program itself, it still says version 8.05 is installed. CRAZY!
Just how do they differ from sheep fleas, Jim? Hankers and I are really curious.
Same here. Installed the update and still showing the same version I had before.
Installed the 8.06 update and mine still shows 8.05.
I must be the lucky one. Mine says 8.06
I did the install using ODM and it worked just fine on Windows 7, WindowBlinds show 8.06 installed.
Sheep fleas stay to one "general" area. (Well, maybe more of a private area..)
ODM bugs are all over the place...lol..
Sometimes a shower helps. Fill that tub up outside and give it a try.
Back to the topic. Updating to 8.06 was the first time in over 7 years I couldn't use it without putting in my reg number. Must be something new. I always up dated and was good to go.

Well I guess we seem to all be experiencing different things, I updated and did not have to put in my registration number. Wonder what is going on?
Worked for me seemlessly...just asked for reboot ...
Mine says 8.06
My desktop on Windows 7 says 8.06, my laptop on Windows 7 says 8.06... my desktop on Windows 8.1 says 8.05 even though 8.06 is installed.
Anyone having trouble installing through Object Desktop Manager or Stardock Central, try installing from THIS download. If you need your serial number/product key, you can retrieve it when you sign in with your account HERE.
That worked for me, Thanks
Can someone direct me to the correct place to download Stardock Central?
Stardock Central is no longer supported bmetelsky, you should use Object Desktop Manager now.
Mine installed no problems. WB says 8.06
But it IS still handy for downloading/installing non ObjectDesktop software. And for retrieving serials, etc.
