Stardock Closed for the Holidays
Jan 5, 2015 8:45

Stardock's offices will be closed in observance of the holiday season from December 19th until January 5th, 2015.

During this time there will be a delay in answering support tickets, so we ask for your patience during the holiday period.  While we will keep tabs on the tickets during the break, we will respond to them as quickly as possible upon our return.

On behalf of the Stardock staff we wish you a happy holiday season and look forward to the new year!

OK…it’s the RC. Almost ready for release (will supercede 2.6.33).

What’s new?

1. The selective sync option is now displayed during setup if files stored on Dropbox exceed 10 Gigabytes.

“The main idea behind the new feature is to provide users with options to select only necessary files for synchronization if they want to, either to speed up the synchronization process, save bandwidth, or avoid that one of the partitions on their computer system runs out of free disk space because of the syncing.” – gHacks

2. Auto signin, but only if you don’t have two-factor confirmation configured.

3. Two bug fixes: A long paths issue and a rare infinite connection error.

The only new feature i am interested in is more than 2GB of storage, ffs. I aint paying for it, if there are competitive services giving more than 2 for free, at the same time i would like to stick to dropbox, since i went with it instead of said services.

You might then be interested in Google drive and Onedrive...more storage, free.

I have 9.8 GB of Dropbox space, all free. You get more by using Camera Upload, and by referring others to join.

Use it constantly.

I have tons of free online storage across a few different companies. 3.5GB from Dropbox, 10GB from OneDrive, 25GB from Norton Zone*, and 10-15GB? from Google Picasa.

IMO, Dropbox is the easiest to use.

Why would anyone pay for online storage? I can understand how the can make money from businesses, but I doubt they get much from individuals.

*received extra 20GB for participating in the beta.
