I just installed WindowBlinds and unlike a previous trial version, it does not open and load a theme upon startup. Can anyone tell me how to fix that?

Thanks,
Ellen

Did you install a new trial version? Or did you purchase windowblinds?

I ask because once you run a trial, you cannot run another trial. After a trial period, you must buy or uninstall.

It's a bit complicated. I had a trial version that I was running on a bootable backup (I always test new software on a backup rather than on my primary drive). I had so much junk on the backup, that I refreshed it by backing up my primary drive, and since I had purchased it, I just installed it fresh. So it's like I'm running a new installation on a new machine. And now, unlike when I had it installed as a backup, it's not behaving in the same way by starting off and loading whatever seem I have been using.

Well, if you purchased it, and are installing with a serial key, then I'm not sure what the problem is.

I would send an email to support@stardock.com

When you do, do not resend or email support again until they ask you to. You'll get an auto response email acknowledging your ticket number. Save it. Do not respond to it, if you do, you'll reset the queue and slow the process.

OK. Thanks for the tip . . . does that mean that they are usually slow to respond?

Means they are busy and you are in line. If you reply before they ask you to, you'll move to the back of the line. System sees it as a new ticket.

Did you uninstall the trial first?

More than uninstalled it. Completely obliterated the entire drive backup by overwriting. So there was no trace of ever having installed it.

Maybe not correctly activated. Do this:

Open WindowBlinds, click the ? top right corner, copy info, post here.
