Hi.

Today I've installed Windows 8.1 x64 (fresh install) onto my rig only to find out that WindowsFX is now no longer compatible with 8.1 x64.  It worked perfectly with Windows 8.0 x64.

The program .exe it's self works okay but as soon as you start changing any of the animations and save them, nothing happens.  None of the animations are working.  Also Windows seems a touch slower after the install.

Is there going to be an update for this shortly to rectify the issue ?

The beta version downloadable from the store should work fine.  This is v5.11.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I've re-downloaded the beta version (or at least I think I've got the right one) but it's still doing the same thing.

Just on the of chance I've got the wrong one, can you give me a direct link please ?

Thanks again for your help.

What version does it say on the home tab and did you reboot after installation?

Also what video card do you have?

I did a quick check on a Virtual machine with RTM here and it seems happy, but I will make sure someone tests it on a real box in the morning.

Does clicking the preview button do anything?

Version 5.1

MSI nVidia GTX 680 /  Drivers 331.40 x64 (For 8.1)

If I click the preview button I can see the animation perfectly fine (the grey animation that is).  I've rebooted the system, reinstalled just on the of chance but it's still the same.  No animations working and the responsiveness of say opening Chrome or Directory Opus is slower.  Once the software has been uninstalled, all is fine again with speed.

Just a quick update.  I've just tried it on the other halves PC too and it's doing the same.  Sort of the same rig but running an AMD GPU.

Yea, animations aren't doing squat. The circular window focus still works.

I'm using an ORIGIN PC Laptop running on Intel HD 4000 / GTX 680M

If you open explorer and navigate to the WindowFX directory and right click on wfx4_64.dll and click properties and then go to the Digital Signatures page, when does it say it was signed?

I have checked here on a DirectX11 capable system running Windows 8.1 Pro and the latest WindowFX beta downloadable from MyDownloads on the store is working fine.

Mine was Nov. 16, 2012, but I just tried the beta and it works. I generally stay away from betas.

Edit: Works, but I am noticing that the menu animation is applying to jumplists menus which causes an annoying flicker.
