Wobbly animations missing

I have WindowsFX installed both an a laptop and a desktop.

Both use Windows 7 x64

Laptop uses an Nvidia Optimus setup (Intel 3000 and Nvidia GT555M)

Desktop uses an Nvidia GTX660

WindowsFX settings are exactly the same. On the laptop the FX are handled through Intel 3000, on the desktop through Nvidia card.

Thing is, while on the laptop wobbly animations appear even while I drag the windows, on desktop the effect is different.

I drag the window, it becomes transparent and becomes wobbly only when I drag it where I want and release the mouse button. as a result it leaves a linear wobbly trail

Ironically I also use Ubuntu on the desktop and Compiz effects work just like on the laptop.

is there a setting that solves this or is this a problem with Nvidia driver?
