Windowblinds 7.9 GUI performance side effect?

Is it just me or does the new Windowblinds actually speed up the UI. My GF uses drawing applications that run a bit slower in Win8 than Win7 but after WB7.9 was installed these issues seemed to go away. Is WB7.9 overriding the desktop renderer in Win8? Just curious not that this is an issue or bug . Just wondering what could cause this positive side effect. (I had her test this by unloading and reloading a skin and the effect was that when WB was unloaded the slow drawing issue came back but when WB was loaded with a skin the application started to go faster.)

"an all-new user interface and performance enhancements." Well, there you go. Side effect or enhancement....you decide.

I am actually seeing some (maybe placebo) performance gain, when windows are transparent, while when they are solid, it seems a bit more sluggish. I suspect my mind is a bit desoriented

Believe it or not I too see a slight improvement in performance. Maybe the devs are on to something.
