Location of ObjectDock bar config, and licensing info

I am having lots of problems with my ObjectDock plus installation and trying to resolve the problem without losing the work I've already put into creating a very nice Object dock.

The problem is to do with licensing, OD Plus won't activate with my valid license, instead the activator crashes I am wondering;

1) Where is the Object dock settings (where the actual dock configuration is saved) located, so I can back it up to a safe place and wipe the entire existing installation and start from scratch,

2) Where is the licensing information stored, it must be corrupt or broken since it's not even going away after I do a soft uninstall of the products; I am still getting asked to register.

The settings of ObjectDock are stored in separate files in one folder/Directory.

To back up your ObjectDock 2 settings, you can simply save the settings files:

To restore your settings, just put your backed up files into that folder, and you'll be good to go.

So back up, uninstall, re-install, restore.

Thanks Zubaz

I'll get started with the backup (good features) and the uninstall.

EDIT: I can't find the screen with that screenshot anywhere in Object Dock Plus. Is the screenshot from an earlier version or a different version?

Where do I click to open that dialogue?

Already knew that the settings were saved elsewhere, just not exactly where.

What about the licensing. Which file or setting is triggering this to pop up.

It must be elsewhere, since it did not go away after I uninstalled and deleted the Objectdock directory from the Programs folder.

My installation looks like this. It doesn't say what version it is anywhere that I can find.

It's just too much to get asked to register for a software which

1) you paid for and tried to register a number of time

2) actually uninstalled

3) when you try to register, the activator crashes.

You look to be using v1.

That's not been supported in years.  Time to upgrade.

Ah ok, I see. But my license is still valid, isn't it?

The product RUNS and it registers in Stardock Central. So why should I not be able to register it?

That's all I am asking.

And after my recent experiences with Stardock products, I am not in the mood to upgrade (i.e. pay) for anything right now, so that's not on the horizon either way.

If you are running Win8, that may be the problem. Neither v1.9 or 2.0 is supported yet. I doubt if version 1.9 ever will be.

System Requirements
Windows 7/Vista (32/64-bit) or Windows XP (32-bit)

It ran perfectly fine on Windows 8 (version 1.8 that is) because I ran it on Win 8 since I got the Beta version on Win 8 at least 6 months ago.

It was just the overzealous licensing that was broken; or stopped functioning.

I've solved it now.
