Hi All,
there are a few posts regarding the mixup of German and Finnish language elements in the German language file for the latest Fences Free (1.01.143).
Some were answered by StarDock staff saying that this had been corrected internally and would be part of the next free/pro release, which is good news, but these posts date back just about two years and nothing seems to have happened since. Also, the few posts where forum members that had gone to the trouble of correcting the errors themselves and offered the corrected files all seem to contain links that are no longer active, hmm.
Since Fences is FAR TOO GOOD a program to be crippled by this unfortunate problem, I have now corrected the entire German language file and while at it, also optimized the German entries for clarity and meaning and subsequently offered this corrected/improved upon file to StarDock support back in March but am still waiting to hear back.
However, in order to keep all of you suffering from this not waiting any longer, here is the link to a zip file containing three files: The original german default.lang file (for backup), the corrected german default.lang file and a patch diff file for those of you who want to see exactly what I changed/corrected.

Simply copy the file default.lang to %programfiles%\Stardock\Fences\Lang\German where %programfiles% is the program files folder specific to your WinOS or simply where you installed Fences to. Restart Fences (or Windows) and off you go.
P.S. Please do not misunderstand this post as criticism of StarDock's product policy or release time lines. I am merely trying to bridge the time gap for all of us suffering from having Finnish entries cripple the usability of Fences, an otherwise great and best of all - free - product...
