Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

SnippingTool on ObjectDock?

By Posted May 20, 2008 18:52:03
Does anyone know how to put the SnippingTool.exe on Windows Vista onto the ObjectDock?

I did it once a few months back.

When I try to do it now, it won't work.  The icon appears on ObjectDock, but the program won't run.

Anyone?

Here's the link address:%SystemRoot%\system32\SnippingTool.exe

I tried that, but when I click the new shortcut, it says:

"Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Strange because the file is there.

I run vista, and I've found the best way to add something like that is to pin it to your start menu, then just "drag and drop" it where you want it in your dock. It works, and when I open dock entry properties, the link shows up as, C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe if that helps at all.

I've tried that and end up with the same error message.

I can't understand it :s

I'm also using Vista 64 bit if that makes a difference?

For what it's worth, I've noticed that on my Laptop (Vista Business-32), the Snipping tool works fine from the dock. On my desktop (Vista Ultimate-64) the Snipping tool will not work from the dock.

I dunno why...

I'll bet it has to do with those extra 32 bits.
