Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Blank Tabs & Styles List

By Posted May 19, 2008 09:49:14
I have Object Dock Plus. When I go to DockSettings/Tabs & Styles 90% of my Backgrounds in the OD Folder/Backgrounds do not show up in the list!

Any ideas?

Whats the actual file path for your docks?
May 20, 2008 05:21:17
C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Dock\Themes - for the docks

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Dock\Backgrounds - for the skins

I also have them in D:\My Documents\Object Dock Library

Is there a conflict?

Problem solved! I just copied and re pasted all backgrounds from OD Library into Programme Folder Backgrounds and they are all in list..Seems there was confusion!

Can u help with this? When re colouring a few tabs it's difficult to get the same colour on each one without noting the Hue Saturation etc. Is there any way to colour them simultaneously?

Thanks....

Sometimes, active and inactive tabs have slight variations in color/transparency etc. This is intentional so the focus tab can appear different from non focused tabs. You won't get the same color in this case, they'd be slightly off.

Yes but, when colouring a dock background you have to select each tab in list and colour so its difficult to match when you select other and adjust colour to get them to match.

I was wondering if the program could include an 'apply to all tab backgrounds at once' feature?

You can just delete these folders the same as I have and you won't have any problems. One reason for NOT putting them in the "My Documents" folders is that the custom Plus/Minus images won't show up if they are in there and you will end up with the ugly default Plus/Minus images which don't match anything. The other reason is that there is no need for them.

They were put there so people could use the .dockzip extension for auto installing docks...but doing this like I said cancels out the custom Plus/Minus images.

Just put "all" your backgrounds...tabbed...non tabbed...side docks...and tiles in the Programs/Stardock/Objectdock/backgrounds folder and you'll be good to go.

Do you have the "each tab has it's own style" checked?...Coloring should auto apply to all tabs if this box isn't checked.

You are right, I don't use color often but I tried this just now and it didn't.

WebGizmos - Plus/Minus Images??

If your dock is smaller than the amount of icons you have on it, a plus image will show to let you know there are more icons. You just click the plus image and it will show the remaining icons. Check WG's Optix WIP in the Screenshots Gallery to see them.

Maybe the 'techs' could work on the 'colour all' problem!

Ah, I get it re the Plus/Minus.....

Thanks for the help messiah & Web....
