Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

hi,

excuse me for my english, i'm italian
i use objectdock, i want the dock over the windowsxp bar, on the right of start button.

the dock's option "keep on top" isn't useful for my purpose.

alternatively, it's possible to custom the size of "reserve edge of screen"?

The reserve edge of screen will be whatever size your dock is.

Here is a mod someone made for the dock I happen to like:

http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=12233&libid=29

This is of course a mod and is not supported but it works and it is pretty fun. To do it normally through the software is as excatly as Zubaz says.

What if you click "keep on top" in the OD settings and also go into your taskbar properties and unclick the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" setting ?

but "reserve edge of screen" is too much height

can I customize the reserve edge?

I thought the reserve edge was the size of the dock.
Does that dock have a large border?

reserve edge was the size of the dock,
well, can I customize his value?
when the dock is small, reserve edge is too "taller" than his height

When I click "reserve edge of screen" it does reserve just to the top edge of the dock if a zoomer and the top edge of the icons if using tiles.

Maybe that particular background has alot of empty space in the png file above the actual background image?

Have you tried it with different backgrounds and gotten the same result on all of them?

not..the skin work fine..
this problem shows when I, in taskbar properties, unclick the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" setting

I think that when at tasbar edge, reserve screen edge is based of the taskbar edge whether taskbar is on top or not.

Ah. I forgot to unclick that before testing different skins. Now that I did I get the same result. I think Cavan is right.

there is a solution to this problem??

It seems OD is not seeeing that taskbar is not on top so thinks dock is at edge of taskbar, thus reserving space for dock plus the taskbar.

You could hide the windows taskbar and just use a start menu docklet on your ObjectDock dock. When doing this it doesn't leave that big space above the dock.

If you have the plus version you could also show your systray and quicklaunch menu on ObjectDock.
