Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Interesting problem, see if you've encountered it before...

So I've had SoaSE for over a month now, and have enjoyed it thoroughly throughout. However, just the other day I encountered a bewilderingly odd problem that had not appeared before... opposite button disorder.

Basically about an hour into a game the planet buttons either stop working or link to other ones. This naturally draws the game to an immediate close from my perspective as I can no longer build ships, build orbiting structures or improve planet conditions. I have no idea why it happens, or why it only just started to strike my games. So I guess my question is: has anyone else run into this peculiar glitch? A run-through of available postings suggests not, so I'd love an explanation and solution to my problem.

I am up-to-date on patches.

I have never encountered the problem of button switching, but I have noticed that sometimes the program decides to show the grid and the perimeter circles around the ships, no mattter what I have told it to show in the settings tab.

Next time I start up my computer and my SoaSE, I might not be able to use the group function for ships anymore, or everything might work as expected. So far I have not found a reason behind these errors, but they seem to be along the same line as your button-error.

Running Version 1.04 as well, weird.

I do not own SoaSE, but I have experienced a similar problem with Lego Starwars. After playing the game for a while, the controls would go crazy. In my case, the game had auto-reconfigured the controls to the keyboard. I ended up having to go back to the menu screen and reconfigure the controls to my game pad.

Not really sure if this will help, but I hope it does.

Does this only occur after a long session? I have not been able to replicate this yet but I do have the weekend to play more.
