Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Stardock Central "Thank you for using Fandango"?

By Posted May 15, 2008 02:09:37
This is a odd problem I just got done reinstalling Windowblinds and was reinstalling IconPackager after a fresh install of windows xp when I wanted to check the change log of windowblinds. So in stardock central I goto Object Desktop>Windowblinds and click History. After that the window changes to the internal Web Browser the page loads and remains blank while the Stardock Central window title changes to "Thank you for using Fandango"? Tried clicking on History a few more times but no go.

I would guess some spyware has redirected your home page. The info at the top is the web address.

Home page hijacking is quite common. Try using Ad-Aware or Spybot (preferably both) to see what you find.

It works now and there was no spyware/hijacking (on my computer at least) plus I just formatted and reinstalled windows a few minutes ago from the time of the problem and have only been on the stardock website to download stardock central also I tried visiting many other web sites without any problems. Weird.

I found out how to reproduce the problem every time.

How to reproduce

1. Install a program via Stardock Central (Example: IconPackager)

2. While the program is downloading(/installing?) click on the History link of said program.
