Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

.....never heard of it.....never been there, its in chinese....so i cant read it......has a fair bit of our stuff though.....not sure if its allowed to have our stuff or not?.......just thought id mention it.......

Okay...how do we get our stuff off of there? They have just about all of my blinds there. As kitty said, the site is in chinese, so I can't read what it says. I noticed that I am not credited as the author of my blinds either.

I reported this site last December to WC and Stardock admins. Unfortunately they have been powerless to stop them. Chinese sites are apparently hard to shut down

I have sent emails to the site asking them to remove my skins, but strangely the haven't answered

Guess we need Jafo.

Chinese sites are a problem.....or particularly sites not natively in English are a problem....as the only effective way to 'deal' is with someone fluent in the language of the site.

Since the 'concepts' under discussion are higher-order than "it is a nice day" or "my hovercraft is full of jellied eels" "fluent" really means FLUENT.  Highschool pass level won't get by....not without someone somewhere being directed to the ladies' restroom or "It is a quarter past three".

If anyone genuinely can handle the language....drop me a PM....

If the skins they export are as good as the food products(pet,livestock, and human) and toys they ship to the USA,I believe I'll pass.Sadly, there are some members who may feel "ripped off" by the WC price increase who would also be tempted.Count me out! {edit} I mean no disrespect to the Chinese members of the skinning community or their fine work,only that pirated material may contain more than people bargain for.

Have you ever been to China?

The place is full of American look-a-like products. Thousands of copyrights are being counterfeited every day. You are often looking at products you would figure came from America, but are just ripoffs of someone else's work.

I hate to think this site is being purged of it's solemn dignity and respect for it's gracious artists.

Is THIS site even available in China? Translated maybe? Does Wincustomize accept foreign currency? Or does the Chinese government ban this site for the sake of it's originality and imagination.

yeah, i know we cant track down every pirating site......but then again its nice to red flag the ones we find and alert stardock about it....
