All,
With IconPackager v4.0 being released tomorrow, I am creating this thread to house support for the newly released product.
At this time there are no known issues for either 32-bit or 64-bit.
For all of those who have reported and tested issues on 64-bit we thank you for your time and support.
Regards,
Zargon
What is the current release of IconPackager. I can remember that 168 were the latest when I last checked.

Running IconPackager v4.09[b].003. Have a .icl package that I want to import into IconPackager. Followed the basic instructions I could find - run IconDeveloper and save resultant file as .zip for import into IP. File generates an error of 'no iconpackage was found in file". Also looked in IconExplorer and didn't see any thing there that appeared to allow a save as an IP package. What program do you use to obtain a viable IP package?
Mindtooth, I guess .168 is the current one, but .09b is the current beta.
You will need to contact Stardock to request your current serial numbers... some were apparently changed a while back.
To do this, you can open up SDC or Impulse and click the "request registration details' button..
This is still not showing in SDC. Anyone else seeing it there?
When trying to change an icon in windows I get this error message. I can only change icons using icon packager.
I figured it out. I had to copy the activate.exe from the iconpackager program file folder to Documents and Settings\All Users/Application Data\Stardock\Icon Packager and reactive it there. Now I can change icons through windows.
What a pain
That should have been the case in the first place. Thank you for update on this situation. I will follow up.
Does the new beta happen to fix the shell issue in 64-bit?
Astyanax0, most likely (unless it has a separate codebase, which is somewhat unlikely).. as it does the 32bit one.
Nonetheless I'd like to get it verified as the result of installing IP will force me to format should it not work properly, lets jut say icon corruption happens with certain file types.
hi iam new to this site it is excellent site. visit everyone once thanks---------------------------jockben

So does anyone care to explain what the new beta up for IP on the 17th changes or fixes? And weither or not the 64-bit shell issues have been fixed? Impulse doesn't list anything new under History.
@steve, what did you expect? They haven't even listed .168.New beta? Impulse doesn't say so, but instead displays "Installed beta: 4.09[b].003. Latest Update: 17/09/2008", which is kind of strange.Apparently Impulse doesn't display the version of the new beta if a beta is installed. For some reasons the "Last Update" date changes constantly, which isn't logical at all.Port Royale 2 was apparently updated 1 Aug 2008 according to Impulse.. and that game hasn't received a single update for along long time (if the net is something to go by).Oh, and one more thing, Impulse displays the date of the latest beta as the "Latest update" even when "pre-release versions" is unchecked.
Impulse has been doing this for quite some time now. Makes it very difficult to determine if an update is really 'new'; especially when SDC may have a newer version number with an older date.
Since we are releasing IP 4.1 we are closing this thread, please post any issues that are still outstanding here:
