Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Right-click on your taskbar, select properties/ notification area and uncheck"hide inactive icons" See if that helps.

What WB are you using? Have you tried another skin, the default skin, or a re-boot? You might want to post your WB info here.Maybe someone else has seen this.

In WB config set taskbar size to skin decides, I would guess it is set to small taskbar size and the content margins of the skin for the system tray are set to close together causing icons to not show.

mk. Ill try all that and tell you how it goes.

and yes, I have tried other skins and a reboot. and I am using Assimilation v2

I tried to reproduce the effect on my system by selecting "small taskbar". This made the taskbar thinner, but the icons were still there.

As the author of that skin, I'd like to know about any glitches. But it seems to be something else as PumkiN_KinG has tried other skins and had the same issue.

I have found that I have this problem sometimes. If I right click and lock the taskbar, then unlock it, stretch it to double size, then shrink it back, all is well. Seems like it happens to me with several skins. Just a thought.

This happens every time I update WindowBlinds on my system, XP SP2c and now XP SP3. It works itself out after about 6 or 8 reboots. One or two from a cold start. I have talked to many people who have this problem with XP. I did however, find a work-around from someone.

Simply Log Off and Log back On. This will cause the user interface to redraw the icons in the task bar. Works for me.
