I am a huge b&w movie fan.......and am always scouring ebay for an oldie i dont have.......well, today I finally recieved 'Frank Capra's : You Cant take it with you on dvd.

At the end this movie had me crying with happiness........but capra's stories have a way of doing that to me, and it was a truly beautiful and moving story.

What about you? Have you watched a movie that moved you so much that you cried tears of happiness?

Its a wonderful life is another one that does that too me (another capra)

Well, the first time I saw Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal, probably, because of the knight's "victory." The first time I saw Robert Zemeckis's film version of Sagan's Contact, because it was a flawed but still pretty clever interpretation of one of Carl Sagan's best books.

There are probably quite a few, but that's all I can think of offhand. . .

Towards the end when the King says to the 4 Hobbits, " You bow to no one". Gets me every time.

Uhm. Only reason I quoted that movie and the one before it is because, as I said, they are great movies.

I wasn't saying anything about you crying at it. Just saying I never have cried at a movie.

Haven't cried at anything in a lot of years for that matter. No longer able to. Still debate sometimes whether that is good or bad.

I cry at the drop of a hat. It does not even have to be a really good movie. If someone in a movie cries tears of joy or sadness, I cry. I even cry when I see a Hallmark commercial.

I'll have to admit to a tear or two at "The Green Mile"

A Christmas Carol ... when Tiny Tim dies

Braveheart ...at the end when he sees his wife in the crowd watching him

The end of 16 Candles when he comes to get Molly at the church. Gets me every time.

We Were Soldiers...I have not seen this one....I must be missing out. I will have to check it out

Ok like I said above I've never cried at a movie.

But reading elvees list made me think of one movie, or rather a part of a movie, that did get me emotional.

City of Angels

I was ecstatic over the way it ended

Even though it is an older movie I won't say here how it ended in case anyone has never seen it but wants to.

The reality of the ending made me very happy though
