Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Please for ther love of GOD help me get my icons back...

Listen my Icons In Vista x64 have been jacked for over a month and I just want to get them back to normal. They are all white blank icons and i have been waiting patiently for a fix and all i here is vista x64 is being worked on, WELL HURRY UP..!. I never enabled auto archive and system restore is off. If I have to reinstall my system to fix this i am going to be highly pissed off. This is my attempt to get an answer since replying to other post doesn't warrant one. If anything please release a hot fix.

Start from the beginning.

What is wrong with your icons?
What version of IP are you currently running?
What did you do to get them in a "jacked-up" state?
What have you done to restore them to Windows default?

Have you created a case with Stardock support?

Your lack of useful responses makes it hard to assist.

What icon package did you apply?
What happens when you apply new ones?
Have you adjusted the coloring settings at all.

Can you post a screenshot?

The forums are for community support . . so if no one has the same problem or has it but is unable to solve it you'll get little assistance and going through official channels might be your best bet.

zubaz, he's saying the last build of IP is not vista64 compatible. some ppl are havijng issues with blank or what squares instead of icons. the last build of Ip that worked on vista64 is 3.20 and it isn't available on sdc or impulse. unless the user had the apps archived when updating, they're at a loss for IP and icons presently

Thank you Snidley, for making this more clear.

Then a communication to support to 1) report the problem and 2) request 3.20 be sent to you might be the right thing to do.

Yes thank you for clearing that up
I will try sending a support to get 3.20 back because it worked fine then. Thanks.

From the Stardock support page - (please give up to 48 business hours for a response)
If you requested assistance by emailing support@stardock.com on the 5th and received an auto-reply with a ticket number then support has it and will get to you in the order that your request is at.  Bumping this thread will not speed things up. Stardock support will get to it as quickly as they can.

FYI - re-submitting will just start the 48 hour clock again.

As has been mentioned previously, this forum is mainly used by community members to try and assist other members.  Your particular issue does require Stardock support to resolve.

The best fix is upgrade to xp

"system restore is off." And your thinking there was....? Not a good idea, imho. I simply don't understand why anyone would want it "off" Why bother making back-ups either? [quote "over a month" & "has been dragging on for months now"unquote] Seems to have screwed up your clock and calendar too.

I just got it fixed on my own after a month of agonizing pain..! Finally. and I'm still waiting to hear back from support. I will never again use IP after this even if it does say it works on Vista x64.. NEVER AGAIN.! At least I still have WB to play with
