After being away a couple of years from Object Desktop I decided to renew my OD subscription again yesterday.

After paying I was eager to download OD to try out all the new goodies on my Vista Business system. So I was a bit surprised I was not directed to an instant application download but through your new "impulse" portal.

Yesterday night I have been at it for an hour to make this thing work for I was eager to try out some new deskscapes and other skins but to no avail: I re-installed and de- installed several times. I de-activated my Kaspersky firewall (I even de-installed the whole internet security suite) I tried downloading different installers, even the one mentioned in this forum but nothing worked.

The irritating thing about it is that I have been busy with this portal while I do not even wish to use it! I just want the OD suite to use but I cannot even get to that!

What happens is that after 99% the Impulse install stops and I get the dreaded "Impulse has stopped working etc.. " message. Also if I start whatever installed it stops immediately with the Windows error message.

Using Vista Business SP1 English.

So, please give me a direct download to the application so I can use them!
