Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Not recognizing serial number on ObjectDock Plus

By Posted April 25, 2008 16:58:12

Hey, does anyone know why Impulse tells me that there is an update for my OD Plus (I have v1.90i[b].020) to v1.91k[a].025 but when I try to update it tell me that the registration is invalid. I have a valid registration.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the imput

I am PMing your current account info to you. Please let me know if you are enterting the same thing. If so try a manual registration on the tab by the same name with the info I sent. Let me know how it works.

It does this to me too. The reason seems to be that ODP uses serials much like Multiplicity's - long, no dashes. But for some reason, both SDC and Impulse convert it into an ODNT style serial - long, with dashes, and starts with something that probably indicates what product it is.

Ok should I email Stardock Support or will someone post a general answer to getting ODplus to work. I couldn't see anything here that indicated what needed to be done exactly. I noticed that the serial # that Impulse had was different than the one in SDC, but when I copied the one from SDC in (either replacing it or trying to create a new registration) it said it was invalid.

This sounds like an error that should have been fixed as I've seen a post about this a few times.

Also one other nitpick is when I first went to the Community tab, I logged into Impulsedriven so that I could post to articles. When I clicked to view forums though I had to log in again to post. It should be connected, unless they use different cookies or something.

GhoS I had the same problem of the serial number when I first installed ODplus. What I did was I went to my Wincustomize registration page and used the serial number from there and it worked.
