Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

This is not a DesktopX widget but if you are running Vista and have DeskScapes installed this Dreamwill do what you want.

Maybe you'd like the Omni Slideshow widgets. There are 2 versions:

WWW Link

and

WWW Link

Both have resizing options, 25%-50%-75%-100% I think, neither will enlarge.

Both run better when run with a right-click or a shortcut like any other .exe file, I think they get odd if you use the DesktopX Import/Widget function with them (If I remember correctly, they take over the DTX right-click menues if you "Import" them, and also you would not want to "Import" both of them at the same time). They are nice widgets though, just run them like any other program.

If you go go into the DTX widget Gallery and type "picture" into the search box in the upper right, I get 4 more picture frame/viewer objects, so you might try some searches like that using "picture", "frame", "viewer", "image", etc.

Also with the desktop builder did add a layer and the photo but when put on the desktop can not resize

After adding the layer, you can fix the the size of the object. The height and width can be assiged individually, in other words if you change the proportions of the image it will distort. In DTX builder mode: Right click on the object, click on "properties". "Properties" window pops up, click on "Summary" tab, click on "Image default" to the right of "Width" to set the width, and again for "Height". Click on either "OK" or "Apply".

Once you fix the size of the object, DTX will keep it that size even if you change the image to a different sized one. If you want it to stop resizing the image, go back into the summary as described above and click on the "Reset" button next to the width and height.
