Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Guess I'm too much of a Newb

Help on installing skin

By Posted April 6, 2008 14:43:34
I just downloaded the Dragon theme and I've no idea how to install the thing.  I've been hopping around the forum looking for a tutorial, but I don't know this place yet and I can't find one.  I've been looking for a while, and have acquired a headache along with an eternal confusion over this place.  Help please.

yr never too much of a newb, there is always someone to help you if you ask....

just download and install windowblinds and you will be able to have yr dragon skin on yr pc.
it comes as vista and xp compatable, so when it install, you go to windowblinds, choose dragon, and under the main preview you will see a drop down box with an arrow, allowing you to choose either vista version or xp version.....hope this helps!

?? From a fellow nOOb, even the free version lets me put a clock on the dock.( I just did to check) I just don't need one, I have one on the sys tray and on the sidebar, and several DX widgets.Btw,some OD clocks come without hands. Maybe for those who can't tell time? I'm sure you'll have it straightened out in no time, and welcome, Mr.Bill. and Buxta

Looks like the right forum for me (noob here too) I've downloaded and installed the wincustomize software and tried a couple of the default logons to check out the change. I've also downloaded a few of the logons for xp and from what I've read it should install when double clicked (.logonxp file ext.)I haven't quite figured out what I not doing right to add downloaded logons to the get them into the program to use them. ???????

on rare occasions it may really be a .zip

rename extension to .zip then explore inside see if theres more than one in there

to wiz , on the clock thing.
The clock faces that don't have hands, are to be used with the clock docklet that comes with od. if you right click on the clock docklet, select properties, once opened , there's a page that comes up where you can change the face, when you click on that it brings you to your od images. Somewhere in those images should be the face you dl'd . when you find it, click on it, click apply. voila! new clock.

Zhills7, For logons, some of the logons I've dl'd didn't install directly into my logonxp program. I had to manually place them there. Once I found the path to logonxp, I placed the new logon within(I think it's a skins or themes file folder you put it in...) once that's done, I open logonxp and usually can find the logon in the list.

I use a 30/70 pixel dock icon size. The clock is just too hard for me to see,so I never use it. That's still good to know, thanks.

Everytime you size down your 256x256 pngs to a 30/70, a kitty dies.

Just kidding, Wizard. I just like 'em bigger to I can see the fancy-pantsy artwork.

all the files I downloaded had the .logonxp file extension on them.
