Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

OD+ 1.9 kills explorer??

By Posted March 21, 2008 13:11:53
Hi... I have OD+ on 32bit vista ultimate and OD+ 1.90.026 kills windows xplorer. The display drivers are nvidia. It's a fresh windows install on a brand new lenovo laptop.

When I run OD+ at boot, the system behaves stragely for a while, the dock freezes during icon selection and the icon background goes black and then the system appears to freeze. if you click the mouse on the background a popup comes up to say windows explorer has stopped responding. When you "close and restart" explorer everything goes back to normal after a few secs.

This is ONLy an issue if I run OD+. If I stick to the normal taskbar the problem never happens.

I am wondering if anyone else has seen this and what it's about.

Thanks all, RJ

Try disabling the docklets in OD.
There's a troubleshooting button in the config.

Thanks... but you've kind of lost me here... how do you disable the docks and where is the troubleshoting button? Do you mean removing the docks one at a time? Thanks, RJ

Docklets are the little mini apps that you can set within the Dock, like a clock, weather, volume control etc.. these may be interfering with the item in question.. you should try disabling or removing them one at a time to see if there is one giving problems.

Right click on the dock, in the dropdown menu select ,Dock settings. Then half way down the configuration window that opens you will see "Performance and Trouble shooting" the second button is "Troubleshooting options" in here you can set disable docklets etc..

I am having exactly the same problem. I run OD, then try and open a IE page. System freeze. Shut down OD, everything works. I have disabled the docklets (just had the weather one running) - Will see what happens
