If you're a fan of high resolution and high quality abstract wallpapers, then you have to check out Color Theory 4 by Venom339.

It's a very large pack (240mb) containing 100 high resolution (2650x1600) wallpapers. Since the pack is so large, it is being offered as a torrent. Download the zip file from the deviation page and double-click the .torrent file if you already have a torrent application installed. If you're unfamiliar with torrents, there is an instruction file inside.

You can see a preview of the wallpapers here (warning, it's a 5mb 1280x6200 image).

Great timing. I just went through my pc today and backed up a bunch of files. When I do that I copy my entire my pictures folder to the backup drive and then delete all but one wallpaper off my pc and use that one until I find more good wallpapers.
Guess this will take care of that for a week or two while I watch for new ones.

Thanks for the link! They are very pretty colors. I decided not to download the whole package because some of them are pretty similar to each other, but I did grab some at the gallery.

Don't suppose you know of a good place to download some good painterly abstracts? I've looked and not much luck.

He's done a good job on these although most of them are merely motion and gaussian blurs of splattered color he's done a good job putting a large pack together with lots of variety. I'm gonna download it anyway
