Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

StartMenu helper file not found!

StartMenu helper file not found!

Can not show start menu.

I've recently purchased ObjectDock Plus, and it's worked fine, but all of a sudden, my Start Menu shortcut started giving me this error whenever I tried to use it on ObjectDock. The taskbar and windows key still work, it's just the shortcut on ObjectDock. Any help here?

Yup, me too (same build). Anyone have this resolved yet?

I keep getting this, first it started happening with 1.90.535u and it's still happening with 1.90.537u (beta). The Start Menu will appear for a second then the message "StartMenu helper file was injected but failed to take effect. Can not show start menu at this time, please try again." I get this until I restart ObjectDock.

EDIT: extra info
Windows XP Professional SP3 (Originally installed with slipstreamed SP2/RyanVM update pack + addon pack)
Computer specs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Lunarbunny/Comp

EDIT2: Also, it may have something to do with Windows XP SP3, considering my laptop with SP2 doesn't do it and it seems to have started about the time I upgraded to SP3.

I have the same issue. I'm using the latest version of ObjectDock Plus (bought yesterday) running on Windows XP Pro SP3 with all of the latest updates installed.

I just bought ObjectDock Plus yesterday (1.90 Build 535u) and I'm running XP, SP2. Worked fine for a while and now I am getting the same error you are all getting too. Not very impressed since I just bought it.

Happens both with free and plus on XP SP2 and SP3 with full admin user. It seems to happen when lots of programs 10+ are open and are displayed individually in the dock (not grouped). Could it be a memory issue. I run OD+ with the use all my memory option. How about the rest of you.

I have a HP 2510p laptop with 2G of RAM

I have the "Optimize for memory" option set, still get this very annoying error with ObjectDock (Free version).
My dock contains 27 icons, plus icons of running programs in taskbar.

I'm afraid it looks to be an intermittent bug, at least on my PC. Yesterday it was consistent, but today I'm unable to reproduce it.
