Starting advertising never disapears

By Posted February 13, 2008 16:43:42
I stopped using DesktopX because of the annoying ads but I tried to get over it but now the starting advertising never disapears:

(this is an old image, this time I don't have the continue button)

Before, I could close it but now I can't since the continue button isn't there. If I click on the buttons, they just disapear (but the ad stay there) and I go to the web page. The only way to hide the ad is to go in build mode and come back in normal mode. Don't tell me to try pro version, it does the same thing. What can I do to never have this stupid ad again ?

Ok, I'll copy paste the line since some people can't read.

Don't tell me to try pro version, it does the same thing.

No need to be rude.  I am not blind.  I have one eye that works fine (with glasses)

Did you purchase any of the paid versions?  You need to BUY any ONE  of the three versions posted in reply#2 (not neccessarily the Pro) to remove the ad.

The software is not free.  Stardock needs money to pay people to make and support the app you like.  Give them some money and you will get the app working like you want.

Dreossk I'm just a little confused, you say the pro version does the same thing? Did you buy the pro version?

By "have" you mean "purchased", right?

Did you ever install the trial then install the full version over the trial? Some of the same dir would be shared. You would need to remove the trial (in this case everything) then download the full thing again after a restart.

I formated my computer for another reason, I installed DesktopX 3.2 Pro and I still have that problem. The advertising still appears each time I boot my computer. This time, it is a fresh install, so there was no trial version first. When can I do to withdraw the ad ?

Thanks.

What version of DX do you have installed?
Where did you download it from?

Very good if that's right.   But it's much pity that the cracked DX can't format drive C.

Dreossk, never use software from unknown sources...

Have you gone through a manual actiavation yet? It sounds like it can't read the activation file.

For activation trouble or activation for an offline system, please follow this guide:

Well problem solved, I sold it. I couldn't even close the ad in the last few days. It will be someone's else problem to debug that thing now.
May 15, 2008 16:51:33
You sold your license?
May 15, 2008 17:08:24
I'm afraid that due to the ULA of the software you purchased they will not be able to activate the product. The licence cannot be transfered once sold.

This is the WindowBlinds ULA but you will get all of the same in our products.

My apologies for the trouble you had. If you would ever like to further pursue this problem for your purchase please let us know at support@stardock.com and we will do all that we can to help.
