Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Change the Icon Font and size?

By Posted January 18, 2007 06:22:20
How do I change the icon font and size in Skinstudio. Whenever I change the icon font or any font within the desktop properties, it just reverts back when I reboot.

Thanks, Ron

I don't think that is set by the skin. Not sure why the change thru Display Properties is not surviving a reboot, as it does here. Unfortunately, that font setting determines not just the Desktop Icon font, but the Explorer font and the font in OE, Outlook & some other MS apps. I'd love to change the Desktop Icon font independently, but I know of no way to do it, unless IconX will do that (don't know, haven't tried it).

It is in Miscellaneous, Fonts for Classic Widgets, the last one. Note this changes system wide icon font; start menu, explorer. I have found that the desktop icon text needs a reboot to change.

Cavan -

Should there be several entries in that section? Default seems to be only one - System Font.

Hey Daiwa, there are 6 Fonts for Classic Widget that can be used, some set all, some set a few while others set none.

Thanks, Cavan.

Doh -

I clicked on the 'Fonts for Classic Widgets' in the explorer tree & bingo there they are listed in the Atributes pane, including one for the Icon Font. I'm going to play around with that & see if the Icon Font is an independent setting & leaves Windows Explorer alone - that would be nice.

When you say "It is in Miscellaneous, Fonts for Classic Widgets, the last one." are you referring to SkinStudio? Which version? I tried to do this in SkinStudio 6 and I can't find anything like what you are describing.

The only version I can see available for download is 6. How do I get V5?

SkinStudio 5, I don't think Fonts for Classic Widgets are part of SkinStudio 6 yet. If they are I cannot find them or they have been changed to something else.
