skinstudio for dummies

This is my first attempt with this program, i don't have much of any experience skinning. The reason i bought object desktop was to attempt to make a game theme, something like what was done for world of warcraft. From what i can tell alot of tools where used to make the theme. My main question is how did they make it a self installing standalone exe file?

If you're working on a WindowBlinds skin, SkinStudio will save it as a .wba file. This is really a renamed .zip file, but the WindowBlinds program opens it as a self extracting file.

When you make a Windowblinds theme, the user will need Windowblinds to run it. That is why, as Kosati explained, it saves as a .wba file.

That i understand....But using the world of warcraft skin as an example. A person can download and install it without windowblinds previously installed. I see no program in the object desktop collection that can create what the world of warcraft skin is.

WoW uses a licensed version of Theme Manager OEM I believe. He who produces the themes has to buy the licenses.
