"Magic Pink" Broken

Probably The GIMP's fault.

Hey All,

Okay, this maybe something I'm missing, but I created a skin with transparency's (255,0,255) and they just show up as the ugly pink color instead of being transparent. I use The GIMP as my editor of choice and save the format of the skin in USF. Any suggestions? I'm barely getting started and noticed this. If I edit the original (for example the window top graphic), SkinStudio makes it transparent until I save this graphic in The GIMP, even if I dont make any changes. Makes me think The GIMP is messing up the file somehow and removing the alpha layer. Any thoughts?

What type, bit depth of image are you trying to use, magic pink is used for sinlge layer bitmaps. If you are making image as a png just start with a transparent background.

Yes,

I just realized what was going wrong. Turns out there can only be "transparency" on the active part of the image. I was using a 24-bit depth bitmap and I think the previous is something I overlooked. The effect I was going for was when the window is "active" it is full. But when it looses focus, part of it would be transparent, which didn't work. Interesting results, and good to know.
