animations and WMP

Ok I've been messing with skinstudio for a little bit and started makeing a cool skin for windows media player useing the uff format, the one that says its for Windows media player. I would like to make a "cover" to hide the buttons, I can get it to toggle but I would really like it to be animated with a slide afect. Is there any way this can be done?

you can do it with a gifs and script

o ok so thats how you do it. I can do animated gif's no problem but I don't know how to write scripts that well. I'll look on the net for tutorials, if any one has any pointers shoot them my way.

I hear ya. I know next to nothing about scripts. DaRkFuSsioOn (KkoNne) did the one here.

Try changing the extension to zip and take a look inside.

wow thats a cool skin. ok i can look at all the files but is there a way i can open it in skinstudio or something? so i can see how he set up the buttons with the scripts? Did I miss something?

I don't think he used skin studio - i think he does it the old fashioned way with notepad

but you said you can make it toggle - can you not make it toggle between 2 gifs - so that to 'open' the cover you use an opening gif? then a closing gif to close the cover?

well the way im doing it skinstudio,it converts the file to bmg. I can get it toggle as one image. So the image just apears but getting it to slide i cant do. Maybe doing it the oldfashion way is the only way im not sure but if i tried that id be completly lost

so maybe, create with the bmp toggle.

save your skin.

make a copy (to save the original), change the extension to zip, unzip, find the script file, peruse it, see if you can find your toggle, replace your bmp toggle with a gif toggle

that might work, I'll give it a shot. I'll let you know.

I've been useing kkonne's and you'r skin and i notice when i open the door the image still stays there and never shows the controls like your screenshot shows, could it be a bug? I'll delete it and reinstall it to see if that helps unless its supost to be like that

sorry i mean the door that moves it seems like it is stuck after it opens up shouldnt it look like WWW Linkthat?

also i tried changeing mine into a zip and the only script i saw was what seemed to be for when it starts, i never saw anything refering to the image i used for my cover or the button that toggles it. I changed the image file from the single image to my jif with out any luck but i didnt expect that to work. I dont know I'm sure there is a way to do it from skin studio but im not that experanced in skinstudio nor scripting to know.

are you single or double clicking the control button?

you can open the controls, make your adjustments, then close the controls is desired

well thats agrevateing. nope im single clicking, i can see the troll pop up when i close it but then i open it and the same shutter stays there. The buttons are there but hidden of course. Some times i hate technology

Once my other downloads finsih (dialup) - I move my copy of TrT and download the one from here and see what happens.

. I've noticed that when i deleted the first troll and redownloaded it there were two that showed up in WMP i dont know what verison you have im useing 10 i beleave. Cant beleave your even atempting to down load with dial up i feel sorry for ya man

if you saved the 2nd one, open WMP - go to full mode - then skin chooser - highlight one of the trolls and click delete, then delete the other one

then try reapplying your 2nd download

ok i'll try that i didnt see delete befor. There is no way to convert a wmp file so skin studio can read it is there? if i could get a skin that animates into skinstudio.....maybe skinstudio dont suport animation for wmp?

man i freakin give up, i deleted both that were in wmp then completly re down loaded and installed the skin and it still messes up. what gives? do you have that other skin uploaded? that silver one? if i wasnt baled already i'd be pulling my hair out lol
